We are not only recipients of help.
Persons with disabilities are professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, advocates, family members, neighbours and leaders.
We have a place in our communities and a voice in shaping them. Our members run shops in Cebu, teach in Iloilo, write code in Metro Manila, farm in Nueva Ecija and sit on accessibility committees in their own barangays. When a decision affects PWDs, we want PWDs in the room while it is being made, not consulted once it is done.
Independent living does not mean doing everything alone. It means having the freedom, accessibility, resources and support to make decisions about your own life. A member who works with a personal assistant, uses a wheelchair, reads with a screen reader or leans on family is living independently in every sense that matters.
Kaya PH exists so that support is easier to find, and so that nobody has to keep proving they belong before they can take part.

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test with members who use screen readers, magnification, switch access and keyboard-only navigation. Every page works at 200 per cent zoom, every control is reachable by keyboard, and no information is carried by colour alone.
